The Power Of Nightmares

To further add to the discussion on the way the world is today, and why, let me contribute another film to consider watching.

It's called "The Power of Nightmares" , and is a set of three one hour documentaries done by the BBC. Again, you can watch all of them for free by clickling the above link.

It's a rather fascinating look at the roots of both the Islamic fundamentalists, and the neo-conservatives. Ironically, in some ways, those roots are the same.

It also speaks of the sudden discovery of our politicians of the "politics of fear", and the reasons that this occurred.

It's quite an eye opening look at the world, in a manner that's seldom expressed by our main stream media. I find myself agreeing with it's premise, and consider it an important tool to starting to see the forces at work today upon our societies.

Without that understanding, without seeing the concepts expressed in these three documentaries, is to miss a side of the debate that is critical if one wants to better understand the bigger picture involved.
